THERMALCOOL fan coil units or cassette units can fully meet the design and usage of different air conditioning projects and can be widely used for industries and marine. We can also customize the design according to your special requirements.

Power supply available is AC 220~240V, 50Hz (60Hz) and 1Ph. Cooling capacity available is from 2 kW - 18 kW. There are a lot of different designs according to the site requirements as per below:

The coils are designed for heating and cooling (optional stainless steel electric heating).
Standard coils are made of copper tubes, mechanically connected to aluminum fins or copper fins, and the galvanized steel frame contains threaded copper joints.

Coil material is optional as per below specification:

  • Anti - corrosion coating coil or electronic coating
  • heating steam coil
  • the evaporator coils
  • copper fins
  • stainless steel frame

All coils are selected by the computer to achieve the best measurement efficiency under low air pressure and low water pressure. All coils are leak tested at 28 bar, and the maximum design pressure is 25 bar.

Capacitor starter motor, low noise ball bearing, no additional lubrication, high, medium and low three-level speed.

The condensed water tray adopts the "dry tray" design and is made of stainless steel.

One-time molding, no welds, no joints; the surface is treated with plastic spray, which greatly extends the service life.

Flexible and convenient configuration: high static pressure fan and return air box can be provided according to needs.

THERMALCOOL air handling units are designed with excellent quality and performance. It has multi-functional air handling functions, including cooling, heating, humidification, dehumidification and purification.  Each and every individual model and design gives the strength and durability required for industrial and marine applications.  The minimum air volume of the product is 2,000 m3/h and the maximum air volume is 140,000 m3/h. We can also customize designs according to customers' special requirements. The casing can be fabricated with galvanized steel sheet or stainless steel 316L as per customer’s requirements. Power supply available is AC 380V/440V, 50Hz/60Hz and 1Ph/3Ph. Cooling capacity available is from 20 kW to 880 kW and the refrigerant is R407C, R404A, R410A & R134A. We are also able to make customized design as per customer’s requirements.

The standard coil is made of copper pipes mechanically connected with aluminum or copper fins, and internally threaded copper pipes are used to increase the heat exchange area, all of which are contained in a galvanized steel frame.

Below optional coils can be ordered as below:

  • Anti-corrosion coating or electrophoresis anti-corrosion treatment
  • heating steam coil
  • copper fins
  • Stainless steel frame

All coils are selected by software to ensure high heat exchange efficiency under the premise of low pressure drop. All coil leak detection tests are carried out at a maximum of 28 bar, and the coil design is based on a maximum pressure of 25 bar. The condenser drain pan is of dry design and is made of stainless steel 316L . When the air speed is higher than 2.5 m/s , the rear side of the coil is equipped with a water baffle made of SS304 or SS316 .

Other parts are of good quality:

Filters are made of synthetic medium or a glass fiber with G2 to G4 level, mounted on the slide frame or galvanized steel. Synthetic fiber or glass fiber media bag filter, F5 to F9 class, installed in galvanized steel and aluminum alloy frame, with gasket to avoid air bypass.

High-efficiency compact HEPA filter, H10 to H13 grade, fixed on heavy-duty galvanized steel washer structure with brackets, nuts, bolts or clamps.

Dampers should have a high strength extruded aluminum vanes, the ABS drive gear, and should be installed inside / outside. The blades should be equipped with "O" type gaskets. The shaft and control rod should be made of steel or copper, and their design should be suitable for use with actuators. The damper shall be controlled manually or electrically. Final damper size shall be finalized with the customer.

The unit is equipped with a double-inlet backward-inclining centrifugal fan. All wheels are statically and dynamically balanced according to ISO1940 and AMCA 204-G2.5 standards. The motor is a fully enclosed fan cooling type, with an insulation class of F and a protection class of IP 55 . The specially designed motor and fan base frame provides a very simple and flexible installation and maintenance method for fan and motor adjustment. The basic frame is completely isolated from the unit shell to avoid vibration in the cabinet.
The frames are made up of high strength, stability, corrosion-resistant coating, and excellent insulation performance with durable high-quality gaskets to ensure perfect sealing. Double-layer heat insulation board are made of galvanized steel and SS316L material casing is optional. High-density hard CFC (foamed polyurethane) is pressure-injected between two sheets to produce a high-strength insulating double-layer board. The panel only needs to be locked on the frame with screws or springs. The whole plate thickness is 25-50 mm , and the insulation density is 45-50kg/m 3 .

The panel design of each unit is easy to be disassemble and easy to maintain. The unit is equipped with an access door for daily inspection and maintenance. It is recommended to use inspection windows and waterproof lights for the fan part and other required parts.

THERMALCOOL provision refrigeration system is designed not only for marine use but also for food storage industry with water-cooled condenser or air-cooled condenser to maintain the different required temperature for food storage separately for cold rooms and freezer rooms, which ensured perfectly balanced refrigeration system.
Provision refrigeration equipment shall comprise of two (2) sets of condensing units, which shall be water-cooled or air-cooled type and working with refrigerant of R-404A direct expansion. Two (2) condensing units shall be back-up each other in the period of maintaining room temperature and fabricated on a common skid with all necessary components and accessories.
Condensing units are designed to manually start and stop or automatically start and stop via suction pressures which after initial manual start-up.
System shall come together with ceiling suspended type air-cooler (FCU) combined with water cooled or air-cooled condensing unit to keep each cold room and freezer room at desired temperature.
Power supply available is AC 230V/380V/440V, 50Hz/60Hz and 1Ph/3Ph. Maximum cooling capacity available is up to 43 kW and the refrigerant is R404A. We are also able to make customized design as per customer’s requirements.

Bitzer, Scroll, Bock or Thermalcool brand Semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor is standard selection for higher reliability and efficiency. Compressors are fitted with unloading devices.

The following main accessories are assembled in the skid together with necessary components:

  1. Suction & Discharge Stop Valve
  2. Crankcase Heater
  3. Vibration eliminator for refrigerant liquid line and suction line

The water-cooled condenser (shell & tube type) tube is constructed with high efficient 90/10 or 70/30 Cu/Ni tube, which completed with built-in receiver. Condenser end cover and tube plate are made of SS316L for anti-corrosive purpose for marine environment usage.

The air-cooled condenser comprises the several options to match the coil structure to site conditions for the best durability. According to the environmental corrosion condition, we design the unit with internal reinforcement, seamless copper tube mechanical expansion, high-efficiency aluminum fin or copper fins.

For the marine environment, we use the special coatings such as electronic coating to protect aluminum or copper fins.

Normally, condensing fans are axial flow type with dynamic and static balance, direct drive, corrosion resistant glass fiber reinforced composite blades, which are molded into a low-noise design to provide vertical air discharge from the expansion hole in order to improve fan efficiency and reduced noise. The fan guard is mode up of thick, rust-proof and steel coated.

SS 316 material is optional as per customer’s request based on the project requirements.

Fan motor is a direct drive, three phase, class “F” insulation, current protection, fully enclosed air overcurrent (TEAO), squirrel cage with permanent lubrication and ball bearing.

Roller, Gṻntner and Kuba Kelvion Brands are our standard selections for the better quality and low noise FCU units, which are designed for the higher reliability and long-term usage.

We would provide the very affordable and cost-affective FCU units brand if the customers do not have the specific and dedicated brand.

Each unit comprises of coil, casing, fan and defrosting Heater, which have the features below:

  1. The coils are built with internal grooved cooper tube and hydrophilic aluminum fins. The coils are together with thermostatic expansion valve with external pressure equalizer.
  2. The casings of FCU are built with entirely in high rigid galvanized sheet of powder coated with proper insulation.
  3. The freezer room FCU units shall be fitted with defrosting heater, including coil heater and drain pan heater. The drain pipe heater is loose supplied for field installation.

Water-cooled package units are simple and robust by providing individual air conditioning systems per a group of separate rooms or floor with lower maintenance cost and easier operation.

Power supply available is AC 380V/440V, 50Hz/60Hz and 3Ph. Range of cooling capacity available is from 50 kW to 240 kW and the refrigerant is R407C, R404A, R410A and R134A. We are also able to make customized design according to your special requirements. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) is optional.

Our units are designed with scroll compressor for the dependable, efficient and durable performance. Each compressor has independent refrigerant circuit and individual fusing. Each refrigerant circuit is provided with discharge and suction pressure transducers for monitoring and easy diagnostic.

The condensers are designed with counter flow arrangement between water and refrigerant for high heat transfer efficiency. Corruption resistance copper nickel tube B10 or B30 as optional for the marine environment.

The evaporator coils are designed with professional software for 4 row or 6 row with row split, each refrigerant circuit covering entire coil face in 2-compressor units. In 4 compressor units, the coil is row split and has intertwined circuiting to activate entire coil face when any compressor is started.

DX cooling coils shall be ARI certified and constructed of seamless copper tubing mechanically expanded to the aluminum fins or cooper fins. Blygold coating or E-coating is optional to protect aluminum fin or copper fin during long term exposed if the units are intended for marine environment.

Fans are constructed to act as a plenum. The efficient and quiet airfoil blade can keep the discharged velocity and lower noise and high efficiency.

Bearing lubrication lines are brought closer to the front of the unit for the easier maintenance. Fan is mounted on the spring vibration isolators and connected to the inlet side with a canvas flexible connection to get minimum vibration and noise transmission.

Our units are built with SS316L casing for outdoor installation and GI powder coated casing for indoor for indoor installation with solid and rigid steel frames.

A packaged air-cooled unit has all of the refrigeration components, which are compressor, condenser, expansion device, and evaporator. A major advantage of this configuration is factory assembly and testing of all chiller components, including the wiring, refrigerant piping, and controls. This eliminates field labor and often results in faster installation and improved system reliability.

THERMALCOOL air-cooled package units are designed and constructed for small shopping malls and marine environments such as vessels, boats, barges, etc.

The bigger capacity unit is designed with two or more identical independent refrigerant circuits and two speed supply fan - the other circuits takes over and fan at low speed in case of one malfunctions, maintaining partial cooling under all circumstances. Each refrigerant circuit has one hermetic scroll compressor, multiple compressors concept for optimized part-load efficiency and minimized starting current.

Our units are designed with high efficient hermetic (COPELAND or DANFOSS brand or our ThermalCool brand) compressor.

Coils are multi-pass crossed fin tube type and a washable filter is placed in front of the evaporator. Professional software coil design, 4 row or 6 row with row split, each refrigerant circuit is covering the entire coil face in two compressor units. In four compressor units, the coil is row split and has intertwined circuiting to activate the entire coil face when any compressor is started.

The casing is thermally insulated to prevent condensation. A plenum with grill for direct blow type or ducted blow type can be selected depending on the project requirements and fresh air intake is optional.

Air-cooled scroll chillers are delivered as a “packaged system” with reduced design time, simplified installation, higher reliability and single-source responsibility are all factors that make the factory packaging of the condenser, compressor, and evaporator as a major benefit.

THERMALCOOL air-cooled chillers provide the quiet and efficient all-in-one package units with top-quality components. A unit shall include a complete system with not less than two independent refrigerant circuits, hermetic scroll compressors, direct expansion type evaporator, air-cooled condenser,  a lot of refrigerant, lubrication system, interconnecting wiring, safety and operating controls such as capacity controller, control center, motor starting components. Our units are designed with ultra-quiet, high-efficiency rotary scroll compressors (COPELAND or DANFOSS brand or our ThermalCool brand) to operate with independent circuit for greater efficiency at partial loads.

Coils are designed and constructed to match with site conditions for the best durability which are depending on the environmental corrosion situation. Internal structure is enhanced with seamless copper tubes mechanically expanded into aluminum alloy fins or copper fins with full height collars.

Protection coatings such as Blygold or E-coating is provided as optional especially for marine environment.

Fans are constructed with dynamically and statically balanced, direct drive, corrosion resistant glass fiber reinforced composite blades for better efficiency and low sound. Each fan is boxed in its own compartment to prevent cross flow during fan cycling. We can customize SS316L for marine environment and ex-proof for anti-sparking design.

Standard type as shell-and-tube or optional as plate type is designed and constructed. Evaporator tubes shall be internally enhanced seamless copper type rolled into tube sheets. Shell shall be insulated with foam as closed-cell with a maximum K-factor. Design shall incorporate a minimum of two independent direct-expansion refrigerant circuits. Unit shall be tested and stamped in accordance with ASME standard.

Our units are structurally built with cold-rolled steel for maximum structure integrity. The zinc-dipped and powder painted galvanized frame provides the best protection for weather and corrosion resistance. We can customize SS316L as optional.

Microprocessor control overall unit operation such as internal timers, reading inputs, analog to digital conversions, fan control, diagnostic control, out relay control, demand limit, capacity control, head pressure control and temperature reset, etc.

The primary difference between a chilled-water system and air-cooled system is that air-cooled system does not include the chilled-water loop, hence it contains propeller-type fans that draw outdoor air across the finned-tube condenser coils. Instead, heat is transferred from the airside loop directly to the refrigerant loop.

High efficiency, direct-expansion type cooler with refrigerant in tubes and chilled liquid through the baffled shell.

Copper tube and aluminum fin condenser coils of seamless, internally enhanced, high condensing coefficient, corrosion resistant copper tubes arranged in staggered rows and mechanically bonded to corrosion resistant aluminum blue fins with full height fin collars. Copper fin is also available according to user’s preferences. Condenser fans with low noise, full airfoil across section for maximum efficiency, statically and analytically balanced for low vibration operation and positioned in extended, formed steel orifices for low sound and maximum efficiency. Condenser fan motors are high efficiency, direct drive, current overload protected, totally enclosed type with double sealed, permanently lubricated ball bearings.

Independent refrigerant circuit per compressor use copper refrigerant pipe formed on the computer controlled bending system which eliminated over 60% of system piping brazed joints compared to the designs that use fittings. As a result, it becomes a highly reliable and leak resistant system.

Each refrigerant circuit includes the manual shut-off valve with charging port, high absorption removable core filter-drier, oil separator, solenoid valve, sight glass with moisture-indicator and reliable thermostatic expansion valves.

Each refrigeration circuit has four steps output control (0~25~50~75~100%) and customized to the stepless output control as optional. The fully integrated control system maintains efficient control over the compressors, unloaders, expansion valves and condenser fans to optimize the performance as conditions change.

By utilizing valve position information, the control maintains the highest possible evaporator pressure and minimizes the excessive superheat that conventional thermal expansion valve systems require.

Water-cooled chillers are typically more energy efficient than air-cooled chillers. The refrigerant condensing temperature in an air-cooled chiller is dependent on the ambient dry-bulb temperature. The condensing temperature in a water-cooled chiller is dependent on the condenser-water temperature, which is dependent on the ambient wet-bulb temperature.

Our heat exchangers offer the latest technology in heat transfer surface design  to give you maximum efficiency and compact design. Our heat exchangers are dual-circuit cooler which is the direct-expansion type, with refrigerant in the tubes and chilled water flowing through the baffled shell. They are well designed for water-side and refrigerant-side enhancements to minimize both energy consumption and tube fouling. The condenser is a cleanable thru-tube type with steel shell, copper tubes (copper nickel.tubes is available for sea-water type), removable water heads, and includes integral subcooling.

Microprocessor control is incorporated in the chillers, which allows the control system to monit or several key variables to provide the stable chilled water temperature control. The control system can monitor the leaving chilled water temperature accurately and adjust the chiller operation to minimize the possible hunting and save energy.
